Costa Rica means "rich coast" in english, and the country makes that name a truly and perfect description of it in every single way.
This country has found the way to keep a stable democracy since ever and earning the reputation of the pacifies country of the world. due that there is no army since 1948. The 2 seasons along the year are summer and Winter (dry or rain seasons) makes a nice tropical weather style, Costa Rica is a regular warm climate.
The two seasons in Costa Rica run this way along the year, rainy season is from May to November and summer is from November to April. A good thing is that in the rainy season it will rarely rains all day long. usually in the morning is bright and sunny with showers in the afternoon.
Temperatures will vary depending on elevation and location. Temperatures in the Central Valley are generally are between 60 to 75 degrees, but temperatures are higher on the coasts and lower in the mountains .
Costa Rica is a quite small country, a total of 19,530 square miles which hosts around 4 million inhabitants, most of whom live at the Central Valley that include 4 provinces, San Jose, Alajuela Heredia and Cartago.
Accordind with the country size, it has an amazing amount of diversity. From mountainous ranges, to tropical, dry, or cloud forests. Costa Rica is a naturist’s wonderland. There are more than 10,000 identified species of plants, 800 species of birds, 800 species of butterflies, and 500 species of mammals, reptiles, and amphibians, combined (it is about 5 or 6 % of the worls total biodiversirty).
